Super heavy duty and solid brass, we use Sunlite brand dimmable sockets because they are simply the best available on the market. Quality construction, easy to use, beautiful finishes, high quality dimmer function. What defines high quality dimmers?
- Smooth function: As you turn the knob, the light should increase and decrease in a sweeping pattern, no jumps and jitters.
- Full range: You want your dimmer to be able to get your bulb as low as it will go, and also as high as it will go, and these dimmers have tested best in terms of a full range of dimmability.
- Consistent output: Cheap dimmers are known for flickering and flashing, especially with today's higher efficiency bulbs. As long as your bulb is marked as "dimmable" (and of course, any incandescent filament), these dimmers will work beautifully.
- Longevity: Your project is important, and the last thing you want to do is waste time installing a socket that is going to fail in a few months. Dimmer sockets are a bit more high tech than a regular on/off socket, they have a circuit board and controls inside so it is important to not skimp on a cheap no-name brand.
Nothing is cooler than watching an Edison bulb filament increase and decrease power all at the flick of your wrist, and these dimmable sockets will allow you to do just that. Only the amount of light you need, when you need it.
Want to make sure you've got a good quality bulb to go with these sockets? Fear not, every single one of our Edison bulbs (incandescent and LED) are fully compatible and 100% dimmable.
