Metal Strain Relief Piece, Threaded Cord Grip - Great For Cloth Covered Wire! 1/8 IPS Male Threads

Works with any of our 2-wire twisted or parallel cords, NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OUR THREE WIRE CORDS (read below for more info) 

Go the extra mile: use these handy pieces to not only give your fixture a beautiful finished look, but also add a great safety feature to your hanging pendants and other weight-bearing light fixtures. They thread into the base of any standard light socket (or use a nut to fasten them to anything, like a ceiling canopy mount) and when you screw on the metal cap, they tighten up onto your cord: holding the weight off of your wire connections inside your socket or ceiling canopy. No more struggling to tie knots or use cumbersome crimps inside your socket! 

• 1/8 IPS Male Threads (fits all of our sockets, or use a nut to fasten these to any canopy or fixture you want to hang cords from!)
• Only our 2-wire cords are compatible with these!!! Our 3-wire cords are too thick, and are nearly impossible to fit through the cap. Yes, if you cut off the cloth from the cord it will fit, but then you will have to deal with the exposed cloth and nowhere to hide it, so we don't recommend it. We do sell plastic strain relief pieces that work with ALL of our cloth covered wire, see the "Hardware" section of our store.
• Installation note: thread the base onto the socket or fixture, spread the "grabbers" so they don't snag your cord while you push it through, slide the cap onto the cord, then insert the cord. Once you're done with your wiring on the inside, simply tightn down the cap and the grabbers will dig into your cord, holding the weight off of your wire connections.
