Go the extra mile: use these metal wire strain reliefs to not only give your fixture a beautiful finished look, but also add a great safety feature to your hanging pendants and other weight-bearing light fixtures. They thread into the base of any standard light socket (or use a nut to fasten them to anything, like a ceiling canopy mount) and when you tighten up the set screw, it will hold your cord firmly in place, taking the weight off of your wire connections inside your socket or ceiling canopy. No more struggling to tie knots or use cumbersome crimps inside your socket! 

• 1/8 IPS Male Threads (fits all of our sockets, or use a nut to fasten these to any canopy or fixture you want to hang cords from!)
• Yes these metal wire strain reliefs are compatible with all varieties of cord we sell, including all 2-wire and 3-wire options (The only exception is our 14 gauge cords, those are super thick and will not fit in any of our strain relief pieces).
  
• Installation note: thread the base onto the socket or fixture, loosen the set screw completely and slide in your cord. Complete your wire connections as needed, tighten up the set screw and your cord is held in place, nice and snug!
