Beautiful, unique and sturdy, these vintage style light bulb sockets are absolutely the best quality around, they're cast brass and have a screw on base instead of the plated brass and snap-on base like cheap run-of-the-mill sockets. And what makes these even more special? Their ability to dim and brighten a light bulb controlled right from the sockets knob! Turn the knob, the bulb clicks on, than as you turn the knob further the bulb will brighten, you can choose your desired light level. Works great with Edison bulbs, or any incandescent light bulb. Easy to work with: simply screw off the base to access the 2 wire connections inside. Perfect for restoring old lamps and lights or for all of your homemade lighting fixtures.

- Medium E26 Standard Base

- UL Listed

- Rated for up to 150 Watts / 120 Volts

- Marked as Incandescent Bulbs only, but a CFL or LED that is labeled "Dimmable" should also work in these.

- Only rated for use on 120 VOLTS (North American standard household voltage)! We have not tested these on 220/240 volts as found internationally.

- Cap base has 1/8 IPS standard lamp pipe thread with set screw

- Installation note: These sockets, like most self wire-able metal sockets, come with a cardboard lining inside. This should be left in as it acts as an insulator. Do not remove it.

The quality was fantastic as the socket can be unscrewed for installation as opposed to the twist of type sockets.

Installation was quick and easy, and the lamp works fantastic.

Excellent product at a very reasonable price! I was going to buy a dimming light socket from somewhere else, but after reading reviews I had to find a socket of better quality (NOT pressed/crimped together)...

Queue this socket!

This is a very solid and reliable product - from the smooth turning dimming knob to the high quality finish. I highly recommend this product!

Solid construction, nicely put together. The action of the full range dimmer is smooth and there's a nice weighty resistance to the rotation. I accidentally blew one up and am ordering another. My fault. I wired it wrong.
