Beautiful, unique and sturdy, these vintage light sockets are absolutely the best quality around, they're cast brass and have a screw on base instead of the plated brass and snap-on base like cheap run-of-the-mill sockets. Available in 6 finishes, these keyless brass light sockets are super simple to work with: simply screw off the base to access the 2 wire connections inside. Perfect for restoring old lamps and lights or for all of your homemade lighting fixtures.

- Cap base has 1/8 IPS standard lamp pipe thread with set screw
- NO on/off knob, so these would need to be turned on and off by something like a wall switch, an in-line switch, or by unplugging the fixture.
- - Installation note: These vintage light sockets, like most self wire-able metal sockets, come with a cardboard lining inside. This should be left in as it acts as an insulator. Do not remove it.

Higher Quality Parts
I've been using sockets from Snake Head for a few years. Can you get sockets at the big box stores? Yeah, but they're lightweight, cheap, low end parts that will leave you disappointed. If I'm going invest my time making something, I want to be proud of it. Yes, there is a difference, you will notice it as soon as you hold these in your hands. This light socket one of the best I've seen in years.
It is made of quality material and the best feature is you can break it down into several pieces to install. No more trying to screw it on with wires twisting all up. The price is well worth what you pay. I highly recommend! -

These will go well with my steam punk pendants
I have not used these parts(sockets, twisted wire,strain relief) to put my handmade copper and brass lamps together yet. I will be adapting Halo track to pendants with these parts.They appear to be good quality and arrived on time. I have ordered parts from Snake Head to build lamps in the past and they worked out quite well.
