Beautiful, unique and sturdy, these vintage style light bulb sockets are absolutely the best quality around, they're cast brass and have a screw on base instead of the plated brass and snap-on base like cheap run-of-the-mill sockets. Available in 4 finishes, they have a pull chain on/off switch and are super simple to work with: simply screw off the base to access the 2 wire connections inside. Perfect for restoring old lamps and lights or for all of your homemade lighting fixtures.

It had a small dent that I cut out so I could screw the coupling on. Eventually it worked out well. Nice hardware. Thank you
Reply from SHV: Thanks for the nice review John, regarding the dent, if you are talking about the dimple on the thread side of the shell, that is supposed to be there, it is designed to set into the notch on the base piece and it serves to lock the two pieces in place while you tighten the ring. -

Awesome little socket for a nice vintage look
Being an electrician I come across a lot of unique old electrical equipment and I always wondered if there was a way I could still use old electrical equipment with it being safe and Snake Head Vintage had the answer to my question. GREAT FIRST TIME CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE (multiple items)
I was restoring a lamp that my Grandad built himself, sometime in the 1930's. He was a successful business man, and used the lamp up until his death in 1974. By the time I got it, it was in very bad condition, and I wanted to keep it as close to the period as possible. I ran across this site when doing parts research. They had all of the parts I required.
