Add an authentic industrial look to any pendant or bare bulb lamp with these true-to-form wire lamp cages. Mimicking the style of mobile trouble lights of the industrial age, they are all metal construction, no finish, and feature a side hook so you can hang your light where you're working! Easily mount to almost any socket with the adjustable clamp. These are a GREAT option for people looking to naturally age their piece with rust or corrosion, or for chemical aging treatments! (Please read the notes below as to how these will fit for different size sockets)
Note: These come with a light coating of oil on them to prevent rust and corrosion. It can be left on or wiped off when you install them.
- BRAND NEW, UNUSED ITEM!
- Base clamp screws tight to grip the socket (note, the clamp is large to accommodate different size sockets, so for many sockets the clamp will not be extremely tight on the socket. This can be remedied by compressing the clamp more to give it a tighter fit, but in general, when using these cages on our vintage style sockets, it will more be for show and not a true protector of the bulb.)
- Top end opens to allow access to the bulb
- 5.5 inches long, 3.75 inches diameter
- Sturdy steel construction with no finish

Bulb guard clamps
Searched for hours. Most very expensive. These are priced right. They were pefect turning a 70's bathroom light, to 2021.

Just right
I was shopping for a wire cage bulb cover for the steampunk lamp my husband and I made our 11 year old grandson. This finished our project off perfectly. The price was reasonable, we also found many things on the sight should we make another lamp.

steampunk lamp
I like the product but when I mount it on the light socket I can’t tighten the screws any tighter and the cage can still move around.
>>>Reply: We have some tips in the listing on how to mount these to different style sockets, the clamp is large to accommodate many sockets, so smaller sockets will have a less firm grip, but we have some tips in the listing to help with this, depending on your situation. -
Perfect for distressing/antiquing/accelerating rusty patina
Bought this to complete a somewhat steampunk pendant light I was constructing for over an antique desk. Used an old rusty bird feeder as the shade, hung from a rusty pulley, yet the Edison light bulb needed a little something. So I bought this unfinished steel wire bulb cage and accelerated/induced a rusty patina by spraying (with a spray bottle) vinegar all over it several times, allowing it to dry in between sprays . . . and walla! A rusty patina emerged. Now the fixture is complete and the wire cage blends in perfectly with the other "natural" rusty components.
